“This is the fast I want – share your food with those who are hungry!” (Isaiah 58)

Every day, families in our own neighborhood live with hunger because of circumstances beyond their control. On Yom Kippur, Jewish tradition directs us to deny ourselves food for one day. Hopefully, this moves us to better appreciate the privilege of skipping meals by choice and makes us more viscerally aware of the challenge faced by those who live throughout the year without enough to eat. Let us transform our pangs of hunger into meaningful action.

Our Backpack Buddies partner families at LSA and ABC as well as our Soup Kitchen guests are in even greater need since the onset of COVID-19. Support this year’s High Holy Days Food Drive and help address food insecurity in our community.

How can I help?
