On Sunday, November 20, Temple Shaaray Tefila is hosting an Interfaith Community of Churches and the Synagogue Coalition on the Refugee and Immigation Crisis to support the migrant Asylum Seekers who are arriving on buses daily in New York City.

From 1:00-3:00pm, we will join as a community to package welcome food bags and personal hygiene kits, make cheese sandwiches and sort donated clothing. At 3:00pm, we will hear from Ruth Messinger, Global Ambassador for American Jewish World Service and Ilze Thielmann, Director of Team TLC-NYC with the latest update on the Asylum Seekers situation. At 4:00pm, we will gather in prayer as a faith community for a Thanksgiving Interfaith Service. All are welcome.

We hope you will join us for this day of service, learning, and gratitude.

Please note: Proof of vaccination is required to enter the Shaaray Tefila building.
