High Holy Days at Shaaray Tefila

We are very pleased to be able to announce that this year, we will once again open our doors and welcome every member who wishes to attend in person. Being together as a community during this holy time of year is important and invaluable, and we want to welcome everyone into our sanctuary who wishes to join us.

For members who are not able to join us in person for whatever reason, livestream of our services will be available. Please note that the livestream we will be offering during the holidays will be the same format as the Shabbat livestream we have been offering weekly. Livestream access information will be sent prior to the start of the holidays.

Please note that you must be a member in good standing to attend or access our High Holy Days services and programs. In our ongoing effort to support environmental sustainability, we will have a check-in process at the entrance rather than issue paper tickets.

Your “Tickets”

Members in good standing will have access to all our High Holy Days services and programs – both in-person and online broadcasts. To be in good standing, your dues, security assessment, building assessment, and tuition payments must either be paid in full by Friday, September 27 or current with an arrangement or payment plan. Visit the Member Portal today to check your account balance.

As we did last year, we will NO LONGER ISSUE PAPER OR ELECTRONIC TICKETS FOR ENTRY. Each family name will be added to a list for check in based on your registration.

We are very happy that this year, we will be at full capacity for High Holy Day services in person, and that guests will be allowed to attend. Rather than filling out an online form, we would like you to arrange a call with our staff so we can best serve you.

Please have the following information available:

Which service(s) will you be attending? If you plan to attend any service, you must register in advance. This includes Erev services, 2nd Day Rosh Hashanah, and/or Yom Kippur afternoon and Neilah services.

Who will be attending? Please give full names of all adults and children 26 and under who are on your account and plan to attend.

For those who wish to attend any or all of our services online, livestream will be available and the appropriate information and links will be sent to the congregation before the High Holy Days begin.

Book of Remembrance

During the High Holy Days, we may especially feel the absence of those loved ones we’ve lost. We are privileged to offer the opportunity to remember them at this season with the support of your community through our Book of Remembrance.

Guest Access

Deadline: Friday, September 27
Do you have family or friends whom you’d like to join us for worship over the High Holy Days? Members in good standing can purchase access for up to two (2) additional guests for each holiday you plan to attend in person.

During your call to register for services (to schedule your call, CLICK HERE), please provide the first and last name of each guest and which service(s) they will attend. Guest access is $180 per person per holiday.

Religious School Programming & Babysitting
Deadline: Friday, September 27
This year we are pleased to offer Religious School programming on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur day (October 3 & 12) for children ages 5-12, and will take the place of a family service. We will also once again provide Babysitting for children ages 20 months-5 years.

During your call to register for services (to schedule your call, CLICK HERE), please provide the following information:

Religious School Programming: Registration is required for your child(ren) to participate. Please provide the first and last name, and age/grade of all participating children (including children of any guests attending with your family).

Babysitting: Registration is required for your child(ren) to participate. Please provide the first and last name, age of the child(ren), and the cell phone number of the parent who will be in the building. BABYSITTING IS NOW FULL

In order to ensure proper staffing:

Babysitting and Religious School programming will not be a walk-in programs. Pre-registration is required.

Space is very limited for Babysitting, so please register early.

Adult Child Access

Do you have a child age 26 or younger on your member account who’s living away from home? Your grown-up kids and college students can still join us online for the High Holy Days! Livestream viewing information will be sent to all members prior to the start of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Please feel free to share this information with your adult child(ren).

Reciprocity Tickets

Deadline: Friday, September 27
If you are a member of Shaaray Tefila in good standing and will be spending the High Holy Days with another Reform congregation outside of the tri-state area, we can request access on your behalf. Requests are granted based on availability and at the discretion of the host congregation.

Please provide the name, address and phone number of the synagogue and which service(s) you would like to attend. Also include the first and last names of any guests.
