Shabbat
Shabbat is a time to be together with friends and family in community. People of all ages are welcome to be a part of our worship and learning experiences each Shabbat, which serve to recharge us for the work of the world.

All are Welcome
“The seventh day is a place in time which we build. It is made of soul, of joy and reticence.”
– Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel
At Shaaray Tefila, Shabbat is a time to find rest, inspiration, and community. We pride ourselves on uplifting and inspirational music, and offer Reform Jewish worship that blends tradition and innovation.
We invite you to come as you are. If you are feeling spiritually full or empty, if you are dressed to the nines or dressed for casual Friday, if you went to a Jewish day school or have never read a word of Hebrew, you will find a spiritual home at Shaaray Tefila.
Shabbat Worship Opportunities
Friday Night Erev Shabbat Service
Friday Evenings @6:15pm in the sanctuary and online
Join us each week in person or virtually for an Erev Shabbat service filled with beautiful music and inspirational words from our clergy.
Saturday Morning Sanctuary Service
Most Saturday mornings
We rejoice with the families of our B’nei Mitzvah students, celebrating their hard work and dedicated learning as they affirm their commitment to living Jewishly as adults. To celebrate with our B’nei Mitzvah online, check the Rabbi's weekly If Not Now, When email for the livestream link.
Shabbat Morning Minyan & Shabbat Torah Study
Saturdays @10:15am & 12:00pm
A more traditional Reform service, this welcoming Shabbat worship opportunity takes place at 10:15am in our second floor chapel, and is led alternately by members of our clergy and lay leaders. At 12:00pm, members of the congregation are invited to study the weekly Torah portion together in Torah Study. Both are in person and online.
All of the above are accessible in person and online. Visit our Livestream page for access to our livestream channels.
Family and Tot Shabbat Services
Our family and tot services are a chance for your family to engage in a fun, warm, and accessible Shabbat experience with our clergy. Families will enjoy music, tefila, and learning about the Torah through storytelling.
