Please join us in person and online for our Shabbat Shuvah service, the Shabbat that falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Rabbi Mosbacher will be in conversation with Dr. Charity Woodrum, NASA Postdoctoral Fellow for the James Webb Space Telescope at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, on the the theme "Finding Light in the Darkness."

About Dr. Charity Woodrum
Dr. Charity Woodrum is a NASA Postdoctoral Fellow for the James Webb Space Telescope at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Her current research investigates the star formation and chemical enrichment histories of galaxies across cosmic time. She earned her PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Arizona. She earned her B.S. in Physics at the University of Oregon. Charity is also the subject of an award-winning documentary film titled "Space, Hope and Charity." The film follows her journey as she navigated through poverty and tragedy while pursuing her dream of becoming an astrophysicist.
