Join us as we welcome Rabbi Andrea L. Weiss as our scholar for our Selichot learning session.

Wake Up Each Morning and Choose Hope As we approach Rosh Hashanah and the Ten Days of Repentance after a heartbreaking, harrowing year, how can we cultivate the capacity to hope? How can we muster the ability to believe that we can be better people and that the world can be a better place? Ghadir Hani, a Palestinian citizen of Israel and an award-winning peace activist, said in a November 2023 webinar on trauma: “So how can hope grow in these fields of blood and trauma?…We must wake each morning and choose healing, comfort, empathy, and hope.” We will explore a range of biblical teachings about hope that offer us insight and inspiration as we enter the new year.
