One Thing I Seek: Exploring Psalm 27

We are honored to host our annual study session on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, dedicated to the cherished memory of Ellen Saxl and Lois Nyren.

Following our Second Day Rosh Hashanah morning service, join us for an accessible and engaging lunch and learn centered on Psalm 27, the psalm traditionally read throughout the season leading up to the High Holy Days. At Shaaray Tefila, its words also usher us into every Friday night service during the month of Elul.

Together, we will explore this ancient poem’s language of courage and vulnerability, hope and uncertainty, light and longing, and consider .what it might offer us as we begin a new year. No previous experience with Jewish text study is needed.

Lunch will be served.
