Please join us in person and online for a meaningful Pride Shabbat service. We welcome special guest Tyler Hack, Founder and Executive Director of the Christopher Street Project,  a national organization focused on advancing equality for transgender people.

Tyler founded Christopher Street Project in January 2025 at just 19 years old, amid escalating attacks on transgender freedoms. The organization’s name pays homage to the legacy of trans people at the forefront of the gay liberation movement and to Tyler’s great uncle, Marc Scheer, who was beaten up during the Stonewall uprising.

Under Tyler’s leadership, Christopher Street Project has become a leading national voice in the fight for transgender rights, with work featured in major news outlets including The Washington Post, Politico, The Hill, and The New York Times. Raised in Reform Jewish culture and bar mitzvah’d at Westchester Reform Temple, Tyler’s advocacy is shaped by a deep commitment to justice and universal human rights.
