Mutations in the BRCA genes can cause hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. These mutations found in approximately 1 in 40 Ashkenazi Jews, and they can be passed from parents to their children. Luckily, testing for BRCA is simple and risk reducing interventions are available.ย  ย  Please join us on Zoom for an educational conversation with Natalie Levy and Jane Herman, each of whom carries a BRCA mutation and has reduced her risk of hereditary cancer, and BRCA specialist Dr. Melissa Frey (Gynecology & Oncology, Weill Cornell Medicine).
