Mutations in the BRCA genes can cause hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. These mutations found in approximately 1 in 40 Ashkenazi Jews, and they can be passed from parents to their children. Luckily, testing for BRCA is simple and risk reducing interventions are available.  Please join us on Zoom for an educational conversation with Natalie Levy and Jane Herman, each of whom carries a BRCA mutation and has reduced her risk of hereditary cancer, and BRCA specialist Dr. Melissa Frey (Gynecology & Oncology, Weill Cornell Medicine).
