Come for a day of giving your time, energy, and care as together we enact our commitment to Tikkun Olam, repairing our broken world.

Please Note: Sign up is first-come, first-served and start times vary by project. Those participating in an off-site opportunity will be contacted by their project captain to coordinate a meet-up time and location to travel to the project site together.

Join us at the 11:15am kick-off event where we'll gather as a community to mark this day of sacred work through prayer and song!

Have questions or need to cancel your Mitzvah Day registration? Please contact Rabbi Ilana Schachter.

Coat DriveOctober 28-November 16
We are kicking off our congregational Coat Drive this Mitzvah Day, collecting used coats in good condition (children and adult sizes) to benefit The Sharing Place Thrift Store. The Sharing Place is an extension of LSA Family and Health Service, a nonprofit that provides food pantry, health, education, and family support services to families in crisis in East Harlem and surrounding communities. Coats should be placed in the bins near the elevator in the lobby.

Backpack Buddies Bake Salethroughout Mitzvah Day in the lobby
All proceeds benefit our Backpack Buddies program which provides backpacks filled with meals and nutritious snacks directly to children in our neighborhood. Show up with your sweet tooth!

Community service credit is available to students.
