Hopes and Dreams

Sundays 9:00-11:30am OR Mondays 4:00-6:00pm AND (Online) Tuesdays for 1/2 hour Small Group Hebrew sessions between 4:00-6:00pm OR Mondays (in person) from 3:00-4:00pm

Students wrestle with Torah stories and the character traits of our biblical ancestors to understand what being Jewish means to them today.  They connect these traits to modern role models  by conducting interviews with TST congregants and staff.  In this way, they learn how the character traits of our ancestors impact their lives.  These interviews enhance their relationship to Temple Shaaray Tefila. 6th graders also participate in 3-4 programs about the meaning and purpose of Bar/Bat Mitzvah along with a day-long family retreat.. 6th graders study Hebrew in small groups on Zoom to continue building prayer fluency and understanding.
