Enjoy the beauty of Central Park in the fall. Two professional guides will lead us on a 90-minute tour of the northern end of the park, an area many New Yorkers are unfamiliar with. We’ll begin on the west side at the pastoral pool, which will be near peak leaf color and which is one of the best places for fall foliage in Manhattan. Escape the city while we walk through the picturesque North Woods, then emerge at the Harlem Meer. The tour will end near Fifth Avenue inside Conservatory Garden, the park’s only formal garden, where the unique Korean chrysanthemums will be in their full glory. The guides will point out the artistry and history of the area, and what makes this part of Central Park truly special.
Please Note: The trails include unpaved and uneven terrain. During this event, all participants will be required to wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines. Following registration, participants will be given instructions to download an app to make it possible to hear the tour guide clearly even when the group is spread out.
