Please join us for two events that will help us Get Primed for the Primaries. The NYC Primaries will be held in June. As NYC residents, we will have the opportunity to vote for Mayor, Comptroller, City Council Member, Public Advocate, and City Council Borough President.
Join Temple Shaaray Tefila’s Social Justice Task Force Lay Leaders for two events with Manhattan Together to learn more about the candidates and this year’s primaries.
Manhattan Together (MT) is a broad-based, multiracial, non-partisan, grassroots power organization made up of citizens and aspiring citizens, who want to transform the world – from what it is to what they believe it should be. Temple Shaaray Tefila is partnering with MT to make our voices heard and create change in our neighborhoods and across the country.
First ZOOM Meeting:

Second ZOOM Meeting:
RANKED CHOICE VOTING (RCV) – on April 21st @ 7:00pm. This is the first year that NYC is using RCV in the primaries. RCV is a different process from how we have voted in the past. Instead of choosing only one favorite candidate, voters can rank each candidate in a race by preference, choosing up to their top five candidates on the ballot. In this training we will learn how this new process actually works so our voters will have a better understanding of how to use RCV in the June primaries.
