College Bound: Jewish Life on Campus

Get a preview of Jewish life on campus with featured speaker Elan Kramer – First Year Engagement Coordinator, Columbia Barnard Hillel – and a facilitated panel of our own Shaaray Tefila alumni. This event is open to all teens and parents, but especially great for families with 10th-12th graders as they start to consider what it means to be Jewish in college. Have any questions? About Elan Kramer
Elan Kramer hails from Laguna Beach, California and works for Columbia/Barnard Hillel as the First Year Engagement Coordinator. Elan received his bachelor’s from the University of California, Los Angeles. At UCLA, he was a founding member of JEWkBox, UCLA’s Jewish a cappella group. Elan completed Hillel’s Ezra Fellowship in Experiential Jewish Education and spent a summer in Jerusalem learning at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. He is an alumnus of the URJ Heller EIE High School in Israel and served for many years on staff at the URJ Kutz Camp, the summer home of NFTY. He is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Israel Education at The George Washington University through a partnership with The iCenter.
