Backpack Buddies

Kids in our neighborhood are hungry - we can help! Backpack Buddies is a nationwide program that aims to end childhood hunger one backpack at a time. We pack and provide nutritious meals and healthy snacks for children in need. Join us!

Sanctuary Stitchers

Sundays @11:30am, Once-a-Month

Combine your passion for knitting with your desire to help others. Sanctuary Stitchers meets monthly to knit blankets for Project Linus. Already an expert? Awesome! New to the knitting and crocheting world, we'll get you started. It's BYONeedles or crochet hooks (preferably size 7 or 8 needles or G or H crochet hooks), but we'll provide the yarn!

Sandwich Saturday (On Sunday)

Make bag lunches to help City Harvest feed hungry New Yorkers. Each Sandwich Saturday volunteer is asked to bring three loaves of sliced whole wheat or multigrain bread and 18 pieces of fruit (no bananas please).

Saturday Dates (3:00-4:00pm, w/Havdalah to Follow): 9/15, 11/10, 12/15, 2/2, 4/13
Sunday Dates (11:00am-1:00pm): 1/13, 3/10

Walk Out, Now What?

Wednesday, March 14, 6:00pm

Teens: All are welcomeAdults: Members of Shaaray Tefila only
After the National School Walkout, join Rabbi Mosbacher to hear about the Do Not Stand Idly By campaign and discuss next steps in gun violence prevention advocacy. Teens in attendance are invited to stay and continue the conversation, allowing for an opportunity to unpack their walkout experiences.
