About our Guest Speakers
Julian Coakley, AIPAC Manhattan Fellow
Julian is from Nassau, Bahamas and ventured to Miami to complete his B.S. in Political Science at Florida Memorial University, a Historically Black College & University. While serving as FMU’s Student Body President, he was invitedto attend AIPAC’s 2011 Policy Conference and later traveled to Israel twice with AIPAC as a pro-Israel activist. In 2016, Julian graduated with his master’s in Public Administration from Florida A&M University, worked shortly for an education lobby firm and now serves on AIPAC’s Manhattan team guiding pro-Israel supporters on how to advance the U.S.-Israel partnership.
Sarah Sax, AIPAC Manhattan Associate Director
Sarah Sax began her AIPAC involvement as a 15-year-old high school activist and used her training to lead University of Southern California’s AIPAC cadre. For four years, she proactively prevented BDS from making inroads at USC and regularly lobbied members of Congress on issues related to Israel’s security. Sarah received AIPAC’s highest student leadership award for her work on campus. She joined AIPAC staff after graduation spending two years growing AIPAC involvement in Southern Connecticut and has served as the Manhattan Associate Director since September 2016.
