Spring into Social Action with May's Mitzvah Week
May 16 - 22
Join fellow Shaaray Tefila congregants and participate in our Spring Mitzvah week. We will join together for hands-on community service projects and renew our communal commitment to engage in acts of tikkun olam, repairing the world and caring for those in need. Mitzvah Week is always a wonderful opportunity to work with fellow congregants, set an example for our children and have fun in the process.
#21. SUNDAES WITH SENIORS (Sunday, May 22)
Enjoy sundaes with seniors at The Hearthstone, a residence for seniors with cognitive impairment.
Age: ALL AGES (under 14 with an adult)
LOCATION/TIME: 305 West End Ave. (at 74th St.)
Projects are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note...it is especially important to pre-register for off-site projects as many agencies strictly limit the number of volunteers they can accomodate.
Community service credit is available to students.
Volunteers for off-site projects will meet at the Temple at a time to be determined by their project captains and travel together to the project site.
